“Complete vocal cord closure!” was today’s blessed diagnosis from the ENT specialist! As pessimistic as he had originally been, the more surprised he appeared at the comparatively swift and nearly complete recovery after just under eight weeks. There’s still some fine-tuning ahead in the coming weeks, but fundamentally everything vocal has been restored—what a relief! The operating physician and I want to hear nothing of removing the second half for the next six months, as long as the blood values remain reasonably stable—and for now, they are.
Updates on this will henceforth be made only very sporadically.
Thank you all for the encouraging words over the past months!
